I am graduated from Mansoura Univ, Egypt ,where I obtained my BDS (2002) and MDS (Oper Dent & Endod) (2009) degrees. In 2014, I was awarded the Ph.D degree in the field of Aesthetic and Operative Dentistry from The University of Hong Kong

Currently, I am a Clinical  Professor in Operative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry Mansoura University, Egypt.  I was  appointed as Honorary Associate Professor in Restorative Dental Sciences, Faculty of  Dentistry (The University of Hong Kong). I am currently a Fellow of The Royal College of Physician and Surgeon (Glasgow, UK)

 In July 2023 , I was announced as a Fellow of International College of Dentists (ICD), which is a rare and singular honor that fewer than 1% of the world’s dentists will receive. The  Fellowship of  ICD is by invitation only and is granted in recognition of an individual dentist’s outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.

In January  2024 , I was announced as a Fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA). The Pierre Fauchard Academy is an international dental honor organization that recognizes leaders and future leaders in the profession. Founded in 1936, the PFA has over 7000 Fellows around the world. The honor of fellowship is conferred on those dentists who have demonstrated that they have ‘served’ and/or have great potential for service and leadership. Fellowship is extended to fewer than 3% internationally whom colleagues have recognized as the best. Fellowship is by nomination only.

Recently, I am appointed as Editorial Board Member  of  International Dental Journal (Flagship Journal of World Dental Federation FDI). In 2014, I am hounoured to be appointed as Editor of BMC Oral Health, Springer Nature Journal.
